This challenging hiking route will take you to the stunning area around Hohe Pötschen. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 7.108 kilometers and an elevation gain of 488 meters. The estimated duration for this hike is around 2 hours and 51 minutes.
As you embark on your journey, you will come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find parking areas for your convenience. Approximately 0.79 kilometers into the hike, there is the Klettergarten Fischerwand, a popular climbing spot for enthusiasts. Further along the trail, at 2.07 kilometers, you will encounter the cave entrance known as Fischerwandhöhle, offering a unique and exciting exploration opportunity.
Midway through the hike, at around 3.19 kilometers, there is a viewpoint where you can pause and take in the breathtaking scenery. As you continue towards the peak of Hohe Pötschen, located at 3.55 kilometers, you will find the historic wayside cross called Hubertuskreuz. Nearby, there is also another viewpoint for you to enjoy.
Throughout the journey, you will find various information points and benches for resting and learning more about the area. Additionally, there are water sources available at different points to keep you hydrated during the hike.
