This extremely difficult hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Sentier Martel. The 13.264-kilometer trail boasts a challenging elevation gain of 378.0 meters and is estimated to take around 4 hours to complete.
As you start your journey, you'll pass by Esplanade André Chamson, a serene park, and Le Jardin des Glaces, a cozy restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat before hitting the trail. Further along, you'll come across Aven de Dargilan, a cave entrance located 5.83 kilometers from the start, and Grotte de Dargilan, a famous cave system that sits at the 6.52-kilometer mark.
Throughout the hike, you'll encounter various points of interest such as viewpoints, picnic sites, and historic landmarks like Calvaire and Monument aux Morts. Be sure to stay hydrated by refilling your water bottle at the drinking water stations along the trail, located at strategic points to keep you going.
