This challenging circular hiking route will take you to the breathtaking Col de Laouchet - Sentier du Vuacheret in the stunning region. The total distance of the hike is 11.45 kilometers with an elevation gain of 664 meters, making it a difficult yet rewarding trek.
As you begin your journey, you will pass by the Chalet du Souay, a quaint mountain hut located 1.66 kilometers from the starting point. Further along the trail at 0.57 kilometers in, you will come across Le Gouet, another point of interest where you can take a moment to admire the surrounding beauty.
Midway through the hike at 3.58 kilometers, you will reach an information point labeled as "99" that provides valuable insights about the area. Continuing on, you will encounter various water sources such as Refuge Le Châtelet d'Ayères at the beginning of the trail, perfect for refilling your water bottles and taking a rest.
During the hike, be sure to stay hydrated and pack enough water and snacks for the journey. It is also advisable to check the weather forecast before heading out, as mountain weather can be unpredictable.
