Welcome to the hiking route to Merlet de la Porquerissa! This picturesque circular route covers a distance of 3.2 kilometers with an elevation gain of 171 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels. The estimated duration for this hike is around 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Starting off at the Aparcament de l'Alzina del Sal·lari parking area, you will begin your journey on this scenic trail. As you make your way along the path, you will come across several points of interest. About 0.88 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Coll de la Pola o de les Tres Creus, a saddle offering beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.

Continuing onwards, at around 0.98 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Turó de Tres Creus o de la Pola, a viewpoint located at a peak that offers stunning panoramic vistas. As you travel further along the trail, you will also pass by Balma dels Graons de Mura, a cave entrance located 0.04 kilometers from the start.

Further along the route, at approximately 1.55 kilometers from the beginning, you will reach Balma de la Porquerissa, another cave entrance that adds an element of adventure to the hike. Nearby, you will also find Sepultures de la Porquerissa, historic tombs that are worth exploring.

Throughout the hike, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings, including the Font de la Rauriga spring at 1.53 kilometers from the start. Additionally, you may come across Avenc de Castellsapera, Avenc del Picarol, and Font de la Pola, natural features that enhance the experience.

As you approach the endpoint of the trail, you will reach Merlet de la Porquerissa, a peak that provides a rewarding conclusion to your hike. Be sure to stop by Alzina del Sal·lari, an information point located at 0.03 kilometers from the start, for any additional insights on the area.
