Starting from the parking area, the trail takes you through beautiful natural surroundings with various points of interest along the way. About 0.69 kilometers from the start, you will come across the Coll de Garganta, a natural saddle offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

Continuing on, at around 0.87 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Avenc de la Fontfreda, a cave entrance located right along the trail. Further ahead, at approximately 0.89 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the GR 5 3M;Coll de Fontfreda, another saddle with informative signage.

As you reach the midway point of the hike at 1.03 kilometers from the start, make sure to take a moment at the Miranda del Castellar viewpoint to enjoy panoramic views of the area. Nearby, at 1.12 kilometers, stands el Castellar, a natural peak that offers a rewarding sight after a short ascent.

On the way back, be sure to explore the Foradada del Balcó cave entrance located at 0.64 kilometers from the start and quench your thirst at the Font de l'Hort spring around 0.68 kilometers into the hike.
