This hike takes you through a beautiful area with stunning landscapes and challenging terrain. The route is an out-and-back trail to Monte Torto, with a total distance of 10.514 kilometers and an elevation gain of 727 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on the hike. Further along the trail, about 0.95 kilometers from the start, there is a shelter where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
About 2.3 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Lac de Bastani, a picturesque lake where you can rest and take in the peaceful atmosphere. Nearby, there is an information point where you can learn more about the area. As you continue on, you will pass by Refuge d'E Capanelle, an alpine hut where you can seek accommodation if needed.
Midway through the hike, approximately 4.62 kilometers from the start, you will reach Punta Orlandino, a stunning viewpoint where you can admire the panoramic views of the surroundings. Further ahead, at around 5.26 kilometers from the start, you will find Monte Torto, a peak that offers a challenging yet rewarding ascent.
Throughout the hike, it is important to stay hydrated, so make sure to bring an ample supply of water.
