Welcome to the Mühlenweg hiking route!

Located in a picturesque area, this 4.808-kilometer circular trail offers a scenic and enjoyable hiking experience. The route is categorized as easy, making it suitable for hikers of all levels.

As you begin your journey, you will come across the historic Burg Schwarzberg castle ruins, located approximately 1.94 kilometers from the start of the trail. This is a great opportunity to explore the region's rich history and take in the stunning views from this vantage point.

Continuing along the trail, you will encounter the Ehemalige Buttermilchmühle (former buttermilk mill) picnic site and shelter, situated around 1.83 kilometers into the hike. This is a perfect spot to take a break, enjoy a meal, and immerse yourself in the tranquility of the surroundings.

Further along the path, at approximately 2.17 kilometers from the start, you will find a refreshing water source, allowing you to recharge and stay hydrated during your hike.

As you make your way back towards the starting point, be sure to stop by the Das Rad am Kohlbach (The Wheel at Kohlbach) landmark, located roughly 1.82 kilometers from the trailhead. This unique feature adds an interesting touch to the natural beauty of the area.

Throughout the hike, you will also come across several benches and information points, providing you with rest stops and interesting facts about the region.
