This hiking route takes you through the scenic area around SDG&E Service Road in San Diego. The trail is 10.083 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 153 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 2 hours and 42 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey at the Old Mission Dam Trailhead, you'll find parking available nearby. Just a short distance from the trailhead, at 0.12 kilometers in, you'll come across a water source to refill your bottles. Continue on, and at 0.62 kilometers, you'll reach a viewpoint where you can take in stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape.
Midway through the hike, at 5.04 kilometers, you'll encounter a peak, offering a rewarding challenge and breathtaking views. Along the way, at 0.02 kilometers, you'll find Park Information signage and a drinking water station to keep you informed and hydrated.
Towards the end of the trail, approximately 1.82 kilometers in, you'll find another peak, although slightly off the main trail. Take caution if you decide to venture off the trail to reach this point.
