This challenging out-and-back hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Refuge de Folly. The trail spans a distance of 7.515 kilometers with an elevation gain of 552 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
As you start your journey from Le Crêt parking area, you will pass by the Le Cret information point and the fountain at 0.38 kilometers into the hike. As you continue onwards, you will come across the Pont des Barmes at 2.06 kilometers, providing you with some interesting insights about the area.
Further along the trail, at 3.56 kilometers, you will encounter some historic ruins, adding a touch of mystery to your hike. Just a little ahead at 3.6 kilometers, you will find more ruins to explore, enriching your experience with the region's history.
Midway through your trek, at 3.76 kilometers, you will reach Refuge de Folly, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the serene surroundings. At 3.17 kilometers, you will also find a refreshing spring, perfect for replenishing your water supply.
Venturing onwards, you will come across the Climbing Area "Dalle du Tuet" at 1.09 kilometers, offering a unique opportunity to admire the natural rock formations. Just a bit further at 1.03 kilometers, you will encounter the impressive "Dalles du Tuet," showcasing the beauty of the region.
