This challenging hiking route will take you to the stunning Weißes Beil peak in the beautiful wilderness of the area. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 9.703 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1027 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
Along the way, you will pass by several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the historic St.-Josef-Kapelle wayside shrine, just 0.02 kilometers from the start. Further along, at 0.03 kilometers from the start, you can stop at the Jausenstation Jägerstube restaurant to refuel.
As you continue on the trail, you will come across benches and viewpoints where you can rest and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Make sure to refill your water bottle at the drinking water point 3.04 kilometers from the start. At the midway point, you can take a break at the Oberseite Alm wilderness hut, located 3.66 kilometers from the start.
The highlight of the hike is reaching the Weißes Beil peak, located 4.85 kilometers from the start. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
