This hiking route takes you to the beautiful area of Marifjell, offering stunning views and a challenging adventure. The route is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 10.217 kilometers and an elevation gain of 240 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 2 hours and 57 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Marifjell parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before hitting the trail. Along the way, you will pass by informative points such as Marifjell naturreservat and various information spots that provide insights into the area's history and surroundings.
Midway through the hike, you will reach Vikkelihytta, a wilderness hut offering accommodation for weary travelers. You can take a break here, explore the hut, and even plan to stay overnight if you wish. The hut is located 0.61 kilometers from the start of the trail and is a great spot to rest and refuel before continuing your adventure.
Further along the route, you will encounter Marifjellhytta, another shelter where you can take a break and enjoy the scenic views the area has to offer. This shelter is 5.11 kilometers from the start of the trail and provides a perfect spot to relax and recharge before heading back.
