Welcome to the Gamskarkogelhütte hiking route! This extremely difficult 11.094-kilometer circular trail offers stunning views and a challenging adventure for experienced hikers.

Starting at Wanderparkplatz, the trail leads you through beautiful landscapes towards the first point of interest, Annencafe. Located just 0.01 kilometers from the start, this cozy spot is perfect for a quick break.

As you continue onwards, you'll pass by Rauchkogelscharte, a saddle offering unique views, and Bruder Klaus Berg-Kapelle, a historic wayside shrine nestled 1.09 kilometers from the start.

Halfway through the hike, at 5.13 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Gamskarkogel, a peak with breathtaking panoramic views. Don't forget to stop by the Gamskarkogelhütte, an alpine hut located 5.15 kilometers from the start, for a well-deserved rest and refreshments.

Throughout the hike, you'll also encounter several benches for resting, informational points to learn more about the area, and viewpoints like Gräfinsitz for taking in the surroundings.

With an elevation gain of 1315 meters, this route is not for the faint of heart. Make sure to bring plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking boots, and check the weather forecast before setting out.
