Welcome to the hiking route to Cerro El Tamoco!

Located in a beautiful natural area, this challenging 9.169-kilometer out-and-back trail offers stunning views and a rewarding summit experience. With an elevation gain of 369 meters, hikers should be prepared for a moderately difficult trek that will take approximately 3 hours.

As you begin your journey, you will pass by a convenient parking area at the start of the trail. Remember to bring plenty of water and snacks for the hike, as well as appropriate footwear and clothing. Checking the weather forecast before setting out is always a good idea.

As you make your way along the path, you'll come across a viewpoint called Mirador El Portachuelo, located midway through the route. Although it's not directly on the trail, it's worth taking a short detour to enjoy the panoramic vistas it offers.

The highlight of the hike is reaching the peak of Cerro El Tamoco, situated 4.58 kilometers from the trailhead. Enjoy the breathtaking views from the summit before retracing your steps back to the starting point.
