This challenging hiking route takes you through the stunning area of Senda de Pico de Acué. The trail spans a total distance of 8.994 kilometers with an elevation gain of 709.0 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding journey that will take approximately 3 hours and 51 minutes to complete.
As you begin your hike, you will come across the Cabane de la Caillabère shelter located 3.15 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the surrounding scenery. Further along the trail at the 4.5 kilometer mark, you will encounter multiple water sources, including one that is not directly on the trail.
Continuing on, you will reach the Col de la Mousquère at 1.8 kilometers from the start, a picturesque saddle that offers breathtaking views of the area. At 0.08 kilometers from the start, you will also pass by the Cascade d'Espélunguère spring, providing a refreshing pit stop along the way.
