Located in a beautiful area, this 5.823-kilometer trail offers a moderate level of difficulty with an elevation gain of 396 meters. As you embark on this out-and-back route, make sure to bring plenty of water and check the weather forecast before you go.
Starting at the trailhead, you will first come across a parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before beginning your adventure. As you follow the trail, you will pass by the Poggio a Luco peak, located approximately 1.31 kilometers from the start. Take a moment to soak in the stunning views before continuing on.
Around the 2.91-kilometer mark, you will encounter a water source, perfect for refilling your bottles and taking a break. Just a bit further down the trail, at 2.18 kilometers, there is the Grotta la Spilunchina cave entrance, although it is not directly on the trail.
As you make your way back towards the starting point, you will pass by an information point at 0.33 kilometers, where you can learn more about the area. Additionally, at 0.27 kilometers, there is another information point to explore before concluding your hike.
