This extremely difficult hiking route covers a distance of 19.857 kilometers with an elevation gain of 608 meters. The duration of the hike is expected to be around 6 hours and 6 minutes.

The trail starts in a picturesque area with parking available nearby. As you begin your journey, you will come across the Mútna studňa information point at around 6.84 kilometers into the hike. Further along the trail, approximately 1.18 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Náučný chodník Horný vrch information point.

Around the midway point of the hike, at 9.49 kilometers from the beginning, you will find the Tegart peak off the trail. Continuing on, you will pass by the Hrhovský vodopád and Hrhovský travertín information points, both located off the trail.

As you progress, at 4.87 kilometers from the start, there is a viewpoint where you can take in the stunning scenery. Further ahead, at 5.61 kilometers from the beginning, you will find the Hodovník peak. Additionally, at the 9.9-kilometer mark, there is another viewpoint offering panoramic views of the surroundings.

Towards the end of the hike, around 9.93 kilometers from the start, you will reach a viewpoint that provides a beautiful vantage point of the area. Lastly, at 8.9 kilometers from the beginning, there is the Sovia priepasť cave entrance.

This out-and-back trail offers a challenging trek through varied terrain and is recommended for experienced hikers. Ensure you are well-prepared with plenty of water, snacks, and appropriate gear.
