This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Hintere Steinkarspitze peak. The trail covers a total distance of 9.895 kilometers and features an elevation gain of 1326 meters, making it a challenging adventure for experienced hikers.

Starting from the trailhead, you will pass by the picturesque Schönjöchl saddle at 2.56 kilometers from the beginning. As you continue on the trail, you will come across the Knittelkarspitze peak, located 3.42 kilometers from the start.

For a refreshing break, you can stop at the biergarten located just 0.11 kilometers from the beginning or the Namloser Hof restaurant which is 0.02 kilometers away. Further along the trail at 4.95 kilometers from the start, you will reach the impressive Hintere Steinkarspitze peak.

On your way back, you can refuel at the Gasthaus Kreuz restaurant, conveniently located 0.11 kilometers from the start. Make sure to carry an ample water supply and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging hike. Parking facilities are available at the trailhead to start your adventure.
