This extremely difficult hiking route will take you to the picturesque Hintere Steinkarspitze peak. Starting from the trailhead, you will pass by the Namloser Hof restaurant before making your way to the Schönjöchl saddle, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. As you continue on, you will reach the Knittelkarspitze peak, a popular spot for hikers seeking a challenge. Along the way, you can take a break at the Gasthaus Kreuz restaurant or the biergarten for some refreshments.

With a total distance of 9.895 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1326 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and suitable gear for the challenging terrain. Checking the weather forecast before heading out is also recommended.

Keep an eye out for the wayside cross located just 0.09 kilometers from the trail, adding a touch of historic charm to your journey. Parking facilities are available at the beginning of the trail for your convenience.
