This challenging hiking route, known as PR-S2 S-16, is located in a stunning natural area with a distance of 11.888 kilometers and an elevation gain of 688 meters. The estimated duration for this hike is about 4 hours and 28 minutes, making it quite a demanding trail.
Starting at a parking area just 0.02 kilometers from the trailhead, hikers will pass by several interesting points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, there are multiple historic ruins to explore, all within a few kilometers from the starting point. These ruins offer a glimpse into the area's rich history.
As you continue your journey, you will encounter various restaurants where you can refuel and restock on supplies. Additionally, there are several natural springs and drinking water sources along the trail to keep you hydrated.
Midway through the hike, at around the 3.78-kilometer mark, you will come across the Fuente de los Asturianos, a natural spring providing a refreshing stop for hikers. Further along, at 5.94 kilometers from the start, there is a peak worth climbing for breathtaking views of the surroundings.
Towards the end of the trail, at approximately 3.45 kilometers from the start, you will find the Fuente Covarance, another natural spring offering a serene spot to rest. Finally, at the turnaround point, there is a drinking water source to quench your thirst before heading back.
