Starting at the parking area at the trailhead, hikers will pass by the Refuge d'Altmatt at 2.41 kilometers from the start, offering a shelter for a brief rest. Continuing on, the trail leads to the Grossmann peak at 1.8 kilometers from the start, although it is slightly off the main trail. For a scenic viewpoint, hikers can visit the viewpoint at 4.46 kilometers from the start, providing a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding area.
