Welcome to the hiking route to the waterfall in Madeira, Portugal.

The trail begins at the Parque de Estacionamento do Jardim Botânico, where you can leave your vehicle for free. As you start your journey, you'll pass by the Jardim Botânico da Madeira Engenheiro Rui Vieira, a beautiful botanical garden just 0.48 kilometers from the starting point. Feel free to explore the garden before continuing on the trail.

As you hike further, approximately 0.24 kilometers from the start, you'll come across two viewpoints that offer stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape. Take a moment to soak in the beauty of the island before moving on.

Midway through the hike, at around 0.57 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter a refreshing water source at Waterfall. Remember to refill your water bottles here as you continue the trek.

At the end of the trail, approximately 2.85 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Furna dos Namorados, a cave entrance with a mesmerizing view. Take some time to explore this unique geological feature before making your way back.

This moderate difficulty hike spans 5.696 kilometers in length with an elevation gain of 365 meters.
