This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Cairnsmore of Fleet. The 26.389-kilometer trail offers breathtaking views and a challenging terrain, making it extremely difficult but rewarding for avid hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Glen of the Barr viewpoint, just 0.03 kilometers from the trailhead. This is a perfect spot to take in the surroundings and capture some stunning photos. Further along the trail, at a distance of 9.42 kilometers from the start, you will find a bench where you can take a break and enjoy a snack while admiring the scenery.
Midway through the hike, at a distance of 13.19 kilometers from the start, you will encounter two points of interest. The first is the Cairnsmore of Fleet peak, a natural wonder that offers panoramic views of the area. The second is the RAF memorial, a historic monument honoring those who served in the Royal Air Force.
For your convenience, there is a shelter located 13.19 kilometers from the start, where you can rest and refuel before making your way back.
