This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route in Majanillas covers a distance of 14.744 kilometers with an elevation gain of 732 meters. The hike is estimated to take around 5 hours and 14 minutes to complete, so make sure to pack plenty of water and snacks.
Starting at the parking area near the trailhead, hikers will make their way through the lush landscape, passing by an information point about visiting the Hayedo de Montejo. This is a great spot to learn more about the area before continuing on the trail.
Throughout the hike, hikers will encounter several peaks, each offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding scenery. The first peak is located at around 6.87 kilometers from the start, followed by peaks at 5.68, 5.48, 4.77, and 6.15 kilometers respectively. As you approach the midway point of the hike, you will come across a saddle at approximately 7.37 kilometers from the start, nestled between two peaks. This is a great place to rest and refuel before continuing on your journey.
For those looking to challenge themselves even further, there is another saddle at 7.13 kilometers from the start, followed by another peak nearby. These additional points of interest offer a chance to push your limits and soak in the stunning natural surroundings.
