This challenging hiking route takes you along the Route de Salaunes, offering stunning views and a total distance of 10.597 kilometers with no elevation gain. The trail starts at the parking area located right at the beginning of the route.

Along the way, you will come across various water points. At 2.37 kilometers from the start, you'll find a water source directly on the trail. As you continue your journey, at the 5.3-kilometer mark, another water point can be found close to the trail.

Additionally, there are several other water sources near the trail, albeit slightly off the main path, located at distances of 0.34 kilometers. These could serve as pit stops for hydration on your way back.

It's important to note that there is a food court called "Comptoir des cocottes" located at the start of the trail, providing a convenient option for a meal before or after your hike.

As this is a difficult trail due to its length, make sure to bring an adequate water supply and check the weather forecast before heading out. The Out-and-back route offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for hikers looking for a moderate to advanced level hike.
