This hiking route starts in the area of Ascaso-Morillo de San Pietro. The route is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of 14.129 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1631 meters, making it extremely difficult and suitable for experienced hikers.
As you begin your hike, you will come across a parking area conveniently located at the start of the trail. About 6.27 kilometers into the hike, there is another parking area for those driving to the trailhead. Along the way, at around 6.45 kilometers, you will find an attraction point and a drinking water station for refilling your supplies.
Continuing on, at 7.04 kilometers, there are multiple water points located close to the trail, offering a refreshing break amidst the challenging terrain. Further along, at 7.06 kilometers, you will encounter more water sources to rest and hydrate.
A notable point of interest at the beginning of the trail is the Mirador de Jánovas viewpoint, offering a picturesque view for hikers to enjoy. Additionally, at 6.44 kilometers from the start, there is a historic tomb site that can be explored if desired.
Given the length and elevation gain of the hike, it is essential to bring an ample water supply, snacks, and appropriate gear.
