This hiking route will take you through the beautiful area surrounding Mondoto Sur. The trail spans 9.439 kilometers with an elevation gain of 904 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike. It is recommended to bring plenty of water and snacks, as well as to check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.

At the beginning of the route, you will find Aparcamiento Hotel Palazio, a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before starting the hike. About midway through the trail, you will pass by Ermita de Santa María, an enchanting attraction located 0.95 kilometers from the starting point.

As you continue your journey, you will come across Cabana de Piedra, a shelter situated 3.91 kilometers from the start, providing a great resting spot. Further along the trail, you will encounter Fuente, a natural spring located 1.56 kilometers from the beginning, offering a refreshing break.

The highlight of the hike is reaching Mondoto Norte and Mondoto Sur, two peaks with breathtaking views, located 4.37 and 4.72 kilometers from the start, respectively. Make sure to stop by the information points at Cuello Arenas - Mondoto along the way to learn more about the area and its significance.
