This challenging out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Rattlesnake Middle Ledge. The trail starts at Rattlesnake Lake Trailhead, where you can park your car before embarking on your adventure. The beginning of the trail is relatively flat, but you will soon start gaining elevation as you make your way towards Rattlesnake Ledge, which is about 3.51 kilometers from the start. Enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding area from this popular viewpoint before continuing on towards Rattlesnake Middle Ledge.
As you progress along the trail, you will encounter Cedar Falls Trailhead, which is not directly on the trail but is located about 0.52 kilometers away from the start. Further along, you will reach Rattlesnake Upper Ledge, a great spot to take in more scenic views. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, as this hike covers a distance of 7.728 kilometers and includes an elevation gain of 440 meters.
Halfway through the hike, you will find a picnic site where you can take a break and refuel for the remainder of the journey. Towards the end of the trail, you will reach Rattlesnake Middle Ledge, where you can relax and enjoy the impressive vistas before turning back and retracing your steps.
