This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Senda La Maliza, offering stunning views and challenging terrain. The route is circular, covering a distance of 12.263 kilometers with an elevation gain of 585 meters, making it extremely difficult and suitable for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across "El Travieso" parking area right at the beginning of the trail. About 4.54 kilometers into the hike, you will reach "Cueva de Hoyamoros," a shelter providing a great spot for a rest and some exploration. Further along the trail at 5.9 kilometers, you'll reach "Collado de Los Buitres," a saddle offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
At the 6.11 kilometer mark, you will encounter "peak," a natural peak that is not directly on the trail. As you continue on, you'll pass by several other peaks, each providing unique vantage points of the area. Make sure to check out the "spring" at 5.55 kilometers for a refreshing break.
Throughout the hike, there are various shelters and facilities like "Vivac" shelter at 4.53 kilometers and "Cueva de Hoyamoros" shelter at 4.99 kilometers, providing places to rest and refuel.
