This extremely difficult hiking route takes you to Mont Rous, offering stunning views and challenging terrain. The 19.295 km trail has an elevation gain of 1576.0 meters and is estimated to take around 8 hours and 24 minutes to complete.
You will start your journey at the designated parking area at the trailhead. As you make your way along the trail, you will pass by several points of interest. At 4.55 km from the start, you will find the Bivacco Duccio Manenti shelter, providing a resting spot for hikers. Further along, at 7.74 km, you will come across the Rifugio Perucca-Vuillermoz alpine hut, offering accommodation for overnight stays.
Throughout the hike, you will encounter various water bodies such as Gran Lago, Lago del Dragone, and others, providing scenic spots to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Additionally, there are multiple drinking water points along the trail to refill your supplies.
At 9.65 km into the hike, you will reach Mont Rous, a notable peak along the route. Take in the panoramic views from this vantage point before retracing your steps back to the starting point.
