This hiking route takes you through the stunning area of Sentiero degli Alpini in Ayas. With a total distance of 7.017 kilometers and an elevation gain of 715 meters, this hike is considered difficult and is estimated to take around 3 hours and 24 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across several points of interest along the trail. At the beginning of the hike, you will find a couple of water sources, one of which is only 0.71 kilometers from the start, perfect for filling up your water bottle. Further along the trail, at around 2.8 kilometers in, there is a spring called Ultima Acqua where you can take a refreshing break.
Around the midway point at 2.38 kilometers, you will encounter Falconetta at 2330 meters, providing a picturesque view of the surrounding landscape. Continuing on, there are more information points such as Falconetta at 3010 meters, offering insights into the area's history and natural beauty.
As you approach the end of the trail, at 3.51 kilometers, you will reach a viewpoint where you can take in the breathtaking scenery before heading back. Along the way back, you will find more amenities like benches for resting and a couple of restaurants for a well-deserved meal.
