This hiking route will take you on a 7.4 kilometers circular trail to the Puy de la Gagère in a beautiful natural area. The route has an elevation gain of 181 meters and is considered difficult due to its length and elevation.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area at the beginning of the trail, which is convenient for those driving to the starting point. Approximately 2.13 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter a water source, providing a refreshing opportunity to refill your water bottles.
Midway through the hike, at 3.38 kilometers, you will reach the peak known as Puy de la Gagère, offering splendid panoramic views of the surroundings. Along the way, you will also pass by the information point called Pot de la Croix, where you can learn more about the area.
For the more adventurous hikers, there are cave entrances to explore along the trail. Scialet Abel, located 1.21 kilometers from the start, and Scialet des Deux Gardes, situated 1.46 kilometers from the beginning, offer a unique underground experience.
Additionally, you will come across a viewpoint at 3.38 kilometers, providing a perfect spot to rest and admire the scenery. As you continue your journey, you will encounter a historic boundary stone named Borne "33" at 2.01 kilometers.
