This extremely difficult hiking route will take you through a stunning natural landscape, offering breathtaking views and challenging terrain. The route is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 37.643 kilometers and an elevation gain of 3602.0 meters.
Starting at the trailhead, you will come across Chalet l'Avalanche, a cozy café situated just 0.08 kilometers from the start, where you can grab a quick snack before beginning your journey. As you progress along the trail, you will encounter several water features such as Lac du Port Vieil, Lac Célinda, Ibones de Remuñe, and Ibons des les Arenals, offering serene spots to rest and take in the beauty of the surroundings.
Midway through the hike, you will pass by historic ruins including the Romanesque Chapel (12th century) and the Old Hospital of Benasque (12th century), adding a cultural element to your outdoor adventure. Make sure to keep an eye out for the Bronze Age Burial Site as well.
