This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area surrounding Pène Nère. The trail is circular and covers a distance of 8.78 kilometers with an elevation gain of 616 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 3 hours and 34 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before hitting the trail. There are also a couple of water sources not far from the trail, making it convenient to refill your water bottle if needed. Along the way, you will pass by Le Cabanou, a restaurant where you can take a break and grab a bite to eat.
Midway through the hike, you will encounter a peak called Pène Nère, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Nearby, there are two sites for free flying, Gourdosses and Cap de Pales, if you're interested in paragliding.
