This hiking route will take you to the beautiful area surrounding Lac Noir. Starting at an elevation of 1127 meters, you will make your way towards the lake, which sits at an elevation of 2060 meters. The total distance of the route is 10.69 kilometers, with an elevation gain of 932 meters, so be prepared for some uphill hiking.

As you begin your journey, you will pass by Chalet l'Avalanche, a cozy cafe where you can grab a hot drink before hitting the trail. Just a short distance away, you will also find parking facilities in case you drove to the starting point.

Along the way, you will encounter two water sources at the 4-kilometer mark, providing a refreshing stop for replenishing your water supply. If you're looking for more substantial shelter, you'll find Refuge du Prat Long - luchonais at the 4-kilometer mark as well as Cabane de La Houradade at the 6-kilometer mark.

For those interested in natural landmarks, be sure to check out the Cascade de Calahoure at the 8-kilometer mark and the Cascade du Cœur a bit further along the trail.

As you continue your journey, take in the stunning views from the various viewpoints scattered throughout the route, such as Estive des Crabioules, and Vallée du Lis. You will also come across informational spots like information points and picnic sites.

Towards the end of your hike, at the 10-kilometer mark, you'll reach the mesmerizing Cascade de la Coume, offering a spectacular end to your adventure at Lac Noir.
