This hiking route will take you through a beautiful area with diverse landscapes and historical sites. Starting at the trailhead, you'll pass by a parking area, and soon after, you'll come across the Pintures Rupestres del Pla de Petracos, an archaeological site with ancient rock paintings. While this site is slightly off the trail, it's definitely worth a visit if you're interested in history.
As you continue on the trail, you'll encounter an information point where you can learn more about the area. About midway through the hike, you'll reach a rock formation called el Claperet, which is located a short distance away from the trail. The trail then leads you to Morro dels Covals, a prominent rock formation right along the path.
As you hike further, you'll pass by Morro Miseranga and a viewpoint offering stunning scenery of the surrounding area. Finally, the hike culminates at Morro de la Codolla, another significant rock formation along the trail. Additionally, there is a cave entrance near the end of the trail that you may explore if you're feeling adventurous.
This out-and-back route covers a distance of approximately 10.1 kilometers with an elevation gain of 417 meters, making it a difficult hike that requires a moderate level of fitness. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear. It's also a good idea to check the weather forecast before setting out on this adventure. Enjoy your hike to Morro de la Codolla!
