This extremely difficult 14.741-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the picturesque area of Gourgs du Cady. The trail starts at a parking area located 0.05 kilometers from the trailhead. As you embark on this challenging journey with an elevation gain of 1171 meters, make sure to check the weather forecast and bring plenty of water.
Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. At the beginning of the hike, you will come across Refuge Jean Coderch and Refuge des Cortalets, both offering accommodation options for weary hikers. Further along the trail, at a distance of 6.54 kilometers from the start, you will reach the stunning Gorgs de Cadí, a series of water features that are sure to mesmerize you.
As you continue on the trail, you will pass by various water sources, such as Font Nostre, where you can replenish your water supply. Additionally, there are several other water points situated at different distances from the trail, providing opportunities to rest and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty.
Midway through the hike, at a distance of 4.0 kilometers from the start, you will reach Porteille de Valmanya, a saddle that offers a unique vantage point of the landscape. Further ahead, at 3.83 kilometers from the start, you will pass by Pic Bas del Canigo, a prominent peak in the region.
Towards the end of the trail, at a distance of 7.02 kilometers from the start, you will find more water points to help you recharge before completing the hike.
