This extremely difficult 14.487-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the stunning Gourgs du Cady area. With an elevation gain of 1171 meters, this challenging hike will test your endurance and offer breathtaking views along the way.
Starting at the parking area located just 0.05 kilometers from the trail, you'll make your way through the rugged terrain. About halfway through the hike, you'll come across the Refuge Jean Coderch and Refuge des Cortalets, where you can take a break and enjoy some rest. These alpine huts are situated just 0.48 kilometers from the trail and provide a great opportunity to refuel before continuing on your journey.
As you trek further, you'll encounter several water sources, including Font Nostre, offering a chance to replenish your water supply. Keep in mind that some of these water sources may be located slightly off the trail, so make sure to plan accordingly.
One of the highlights of the hike is the Gorgs de Cadí, situated 6.54 kilometers from the start. This natural wonder is a must-see and provides a perfect spot to rest and take in the beauty of the area.
