Welcome to the Sentier du Mourre-Froid hiking route! This trail is located in a beautiful area with stunning natural landscapes. The route is an out-and-back type, meaning you will retrace your steps back to the starting point.

As you start your hike, you will pass by the Parking des Charbonières, which serves as a convenient starting point for your adventure. Be sure to bring enough water and snacks for this 13.2-kilometer journey, as well as proper hiking gear.

Along the trail, you will encounter several points of interest. At around 5.84 kilometers from the start, you will come across a beautiful water feature called Lac des Rougnous. This serene spot is perfect for a rest and some picturesque views.

Further along the trail, at approximately 6.31 kilometers from the start, you will see impressive rock formations at close proximity. Take a moment to appreciate the natural beauty of these geological wonders.

For those interested in geology, at 1.89 kilometers from the start, you will find more rock formations to marvel at. These natural formations add an extra layer of intrigue to your hiking experience.

As you continue your hike, you will reach Col des Tourettes at around 5.35 kilometers from the start. This saddle offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, making it a perfect spot to take in the scenery and snap some photos.

To top off your hiking experience, at just 0.12 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Source du Julon, a refreshing spring where you can replenish your water supply.
