This hiking route takes you on a scenic journey through the beautiful area surrounding Hachaualm. The trail is 11.5 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 791 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by P2 Grafenberg parking area, located just 6 meters away from the trail. As you continue onwards, you will come across various points of interest such as Starchenstadl restaurant at 4.01 kilometers, Berggasthof Höllenstein at 3.58 kilometers, and Sonnalm at 3.3 kilometers from the start.
Along the way, you can take a break at Hachaualm, a restaurant and alpine hut situated at 5.75 kilometers into the hike. There are also water sources available at the 4.18 kilometer mark and information points such as GH Höllenstein at 3.55 kilometers and several others scattered throughout the trail.
As an out-and-back route, you will retrace your steps on the way back, giving you a chance to enjoy the stunning views once more. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and to check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging hike. And don't forget to stop by Kühberg Alm restaurant, located at 0.09 kilometers from the start, for a well-deserved meal after your trek.
