Further along the route, at a distance of 2 kilometers, you will come across Gernkogelalm Salettl, a bar where you can grab a drink and take in the views.

For those looking for a longer break, at the end of the route you will reach Buchauhütte, another alpine hut where you can relax and refuel before heading back. This marks the turnaround point of the out-and-back route.
