This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Cabane Rochefort on the Route des Montagnes. The trail is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of approximately 4.873 kilometers with an elevation gain of 269 meters, making it of moderate difficulty.

As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to leave your vehicle before embarking on the hike. Just a short distance away, you will find Restaurant d'alpage Basseruche, a cozy mountain eatery where you can grab a meal or snack before or after your hike.

As you continue along the trail, about 2.44 kilometers in, you will reach a water source, providing a perfect opportunity to refill your water bottle and take a break. Approximately 0.65 kilometers from the start, you will come across an information point where you can learn more about the area and its surroundings.

Around the 1.28 kilometer mark, you will find a bench and a picnic site, ideal for taking in the beautiful surroundings and enjoying a moment of rest. Nearby, at 1.3 kilometers from the start, you will reach Fruitieres de Nyon, a viewpoint offering stunning panoramic views of the landscape.

Further along the trail, at 1.28 kilometers from the start, you will encounter another viewpoint that provides a different perspective of the scenery. Finally, at the end of the trail, approximately 2.44 kilometers from the start, you will find Cabane de Rochefort, an alpine hut where you can rest and spend the night if you choose to extend your hike.
