This extremely difficult 14.484-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the stunning alpine landscape near Staudenbergsee. The trail offers a challenging elevation gain of 921 meters and will take approximately 5 hours and 39 minutes to complete.

Starting from the parking area, the trail leads you past the informative viewpoint at 4.08 kilometers where you can learn about the surrounding area and enjoy a scenic overlook. As you continue on, you will pass by the Martalm alpine hut at 2.71 kilometers, a perfect spot to take a break and soak in the alpine atmosphere.

Halfway through the hike at 6.59 kilometers, you will reach Staudenbergsee, a beautiful natural water feature where you can rest and refuel before continuing on your journey. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks as there are no restaurants along the trail. The Knappenstube restaurant is located right at the beginning of the trail, so you may want to grab a bite to eat before setting out.
