Starting off, you will find the Parkplatz P3 parking area at the beginning of the trail, allowing you to park your vehicle before embarking on the hike. As you make your way along the path, approximately 1.82 kilometers from the start, you will come across the Seewand Klettersteig via ferrata, providing a thrilling experience for those who enjoy climbing.

Further along the trail, about 0.15 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Kessel cave entrance, offering a unique opportunity to explore a natural formation. Continuing on, at approximately 2.64 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Äußerer Schönbühel, showcasing breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Finally, at 3.05 kilometers from the start, you will arrive at the summit of Mittlerer Schönbühel, where you can revel in a sense of accomplishment and enjoy panoramic vistas.
