Hiking : Cima delle Prata

This hiking route will take you to Cima delle Prata, a challenging and extremely difficult trail covering a distance of 12.219 kilometers with an elevation gain of 880 meters. The route is an out-and-back type, starting at a point where you can find the Taverna della Montagna, a cozy alpine hut just 0.26 kilometers from the trailhead.

As you make your way along the trail, you will come across various points of interest. At around 0.35 kilometers from the start, there is a scenic picnic site where you can take a break and admire the surroundings. Further along, at 1.51 kilometers into the hike, you'll find the Fonte della Cerasa, a refreshing spring to refill your water bottle.

Midway through the hike, at 4.3 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter Fonte Fredda, another spring providing drinking water. Continuing on, at 4.84 kilometers, you'll reach Sella del Banditello, a stunning natural saddle offering panoramic views of the area.

As you approach the summit, at 5.45 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Monte Banditello, a peak worth exploring before heading towards the main highlight of the hike, Cima delle Prata, located at 6.11 kilometers from the starting point.

Throughout the trail, you will find essential amenities like drinking water sources and even a restaurant - Taverna della Montagna - close to the start to replenish your energy.
