This hike will take you through a beautiful area with stunning views and challenging terrain. The route is an out-and-back type, leading you to the destination point of Matro.

Starting off, you will pass by the cozy Osteria Ambrogini restaurant, located just 0.06 kilometers from the start of the trail. It's a great spot to grab a bite to eat before your hike. As you continue on, you'll come across the Wayside Cross, a historic site situated 0.06 kilometers from the start (not directly on the trail).

Further along the trail, about 5.39 kilometers from the beginning, you'll reach the peak of Matro. This is the highlight of the hike, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Be sure to take a break here and soak in the scenery before heading back.

Throughout the route, there are benches scattered along the way (0.06 kilometers from the start) where you can rest and enjoy the views. Parking areas are also available for your convenience, with the Parking Osteria Pineta located 0.06 kilometers from the start of the trail.

With a total distance of 10.775 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1016 meters, this hike is rated as difficult. Make sure to bring plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before setting out. Enjoy the challenge and the stunning views that this hike has to offer!
