This hiking route in the Widdersberg area is a challenging circular trail covering a distance of approximately 7.4 kilometers with an elevation gain of 742 meters. The estimated duration for the hike is around 3 hours and 30 minutes, so be prepared for a strenuous trek.

Starting at the parking area near Lizumalm, you will head towards Speicherteich Lizum Tal, a beautiful water reservoir located about half a kilometer from the trail. As you continue, you will reach some benches and a shelter for a quick rest before the ascent towards Widdersberg peak, situated 3.65 kilometers from the start.

Enjoy the panoramic views from Widdersberg before making your way to Widdersbergsattel, a saddle point located midway through the hike at 3.25 kilometers from the start. Along the trail, you will find informative signposts, a restaurant at Lizumerhof, and another bench to take in the surroundings.

As you head back towards the starting point, make sure to refill your water supply at a drinking water point located 0.23 kilometers from the start. You may also come across a memorial site for the B-24 crash, a historic landmark worth exploring.
