Welcome to the hiking route to Guglie del Corchia, a beautiful and challenging trail that offers stunning views and interesting points of interest along the way.

The route starts at a parking area, just a few meters away from a wayside shrine, adding a touch of historic charm to the beginning of your hike. As you make your way through the trail, you will come across the entrance to the mystical Buca di Cthulhu cave. This cave is located about 0.23 kilometers from the start and is definitely worth a visit.

Further along the trail, you will encounter several other cave entrances, such as Buco Miniera del Culaccio, Buca di Satabbor, Pozzo di Cava del Freddone, and Saletta dei Geotritoni. While some of these caves are not directly on the trail, they provide an intriguing glimpse into the natural wonders of the area.

As you continue hiking, you will reach Fociomboli saddle, offering a brief respite before heading towards the peaks of Corchia ovest and Guglie del Corchia. These peaks stand tall at 3.25 kilometers into the hike and provide panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

At about 2.8 kilometers from the start, you will find another peak called Guglie del Corchia, which is a must-see for its majestic beauty. Don't forget to stop by the information point located 0.67 kilometers from the start to learn more about the area and its geological features.

With a total distance of 6.492 kilometers and an elevation gain of 685 meters, this hike is considered difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers. Make sure to bring plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking boots, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
