Located in the picturesque Monte Paglino region, this challenging hiking route covers a distance of 6.29 kilometers with an elevation gain of 530 meters, making it suitable for experienced hikers. The estimated duration of the hike is 2 hours and 46 minutes.

Starting at the parking area, hikers will embark on a journey towards the historic wayside shrine, which is situated approximately 2.72 kilometers from the trailhead. Along the way, you will also come across another wayside shrine at around 2.29 kilometers into the hike.

One of the highlights of the hike is the Buca di Cthulhu cave entrance located just 0.23 kilometers from the start of the trail. Further along the route, you will encounter several other cave entrances such as Buco Miniera del Culaccio, Buca di Satabbor, Pozzo di Cava del Freddone, and Saletta dei Geotritoni.

Midway through the hike, you will reach the peak of Monte Paglino, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, the Fociomboli saddle and Dolmen del Monte Freddone viewpoint provide unique insights into the area's geological and historical significance.
