This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on a 12.436-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 870 meters. The trail starts at Alpengasthof Hochkogl, a cozy mountain guesthouse where you can park your car before starting your adventure.

As you begin your hike, you will pass by several water sources such as Birg Schafalpe, providing a refreshing break along the trail. Around 1.1 kilometers into the hike, you'll find a natural water source near the trail for more hydration.

Midway through the hike, you will reach the breathtaking viewpoint of Hochkogel, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. Continuing on, you'll encounter the peak of Karstein at around 6.22 kilometers from the start, where you can take in the stunning vistas before heading back.
