Located in the stunning La Courade area, this extremely difficult 13.105-kilometer hike with an elevation gain of 1093 meters will truly test your hiking skills. Make sure to pack enough water and snacks before heading out on this challenging adventure.
Starting off at the trailhead, you'll come across a refreshing water source just 0.02 kilometers from the start to fill up your bottle. As you trek further, at the 1.68-kilometer mark, you'll be able to catch a glimpse of the magnificent Cascade de Magenta waterfall off the trail.
Around the midway point of the hike, at 6.01 kilometers, you'll reach the scenic Col de Tos saddle, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Keep an eye out for the Lac de Montaigu and another water source at 6.55 kilometers to replenish your supplies.
For those looking to take a break or seek shelter, the Cabane d'Arrodets is conveniently located at the 4.48-kilometer mark. Additionally, a parking area can be found right at the beginning of the trail, making it easy to access.
