Hiking : Barrage du Herraou

This hiking route will take you to the beautiful area around Barrage du Herraou. The trail is 6.026 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 253 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike. It is estimated to take about 2 hours to complete.

Along the way, you will come across several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Chiroulet parking area. About 3 kilometers into the hike, you will reach a rocky area. This point offers a great spot to take in the surroundings and maybe even have a little rest.

Around 2.85 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter a refreshing spring where you can refill your water bottle. At this point, you might want to take a moment to enjoy the natural surroundings.

For sustenance, there are two options near the trail. The Auberge du Chiroulet restaurant is located at the beginning of the trail, while the Auberge du Chiroulet cafe is located a bit further into the hike.

Before embarking on this hike, make sure to bring an adequate supply of water, as well as snacks to keep your energy up. It is also recommended to check the weather forecast before heading out to ensure a safe and enjoyable hike.
